Queens of the Stoned Age (September 28, 2010)

Presenting… the best, raddest, badass ladiezzzz roooockkk music to go with that extra cheesy slice of pizza (does that make sense?)! Tune in for “Queens of the Stoned Age” with DJ Miss Lola, DJ ZoZo, DJ GTL and your calculus homework on Monday nights/Tuesday mornings 12am-2am at http://server.wbar.org.

Every show, we showcase a great female musician and play her influences, contemporaries, and legacies in the genre (Cyndi Lauper, therefore, will be appearing on every playlist). We also play her musical contributions, but mostly it’s us gawking at and feeling humbled by her mere historical existence…

The theme of today’s show is Kim Gordon, most notable for her musicianship in the band Sonic Youth, but also known in some parts (mainly Miss Lola’s panties) for being a class A hottieee.
